6128 keyboard - one pressed on power up

Having cleaned up my original 6128 including tonnes of fluff and dust from the keyboard, on power up the : key is depressed until I press another key. then it stops and then works fine until i power back on again. I can't see anything on the key itself or the membrane and reseated it and the bigger spring. 

 any ideas?
