Short video I just found on youtube. Digital Pictures on an Amstrad CPC 464 in 2013 (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lJDDoEmZyHs#ws)
Wow, so cool!
:D James presents it in a style that Monty Python would be proud of :D
Bryce.
Together with the internet solution (http://www.cpcwiki.eu/forum/index.php?topic=2235.0), we now could do happy webcam chatting with our beloved CPCs :D
Just waiting for CPCSkype to be relased then?
Bryce.

I'm not so sure, if the CPC is really N.S.A. compatible... But we could at least try it ;)
I need a new hobby.
Game Boy Camera Commercial (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b8moy4nDUeg#)
yeah, overscan Mode1 version anyone ?
Good multitasking tips : networked CPC's... one just for the cam, the other for the internet chat "app" and for playing sounds.
Needs 2 monitors though...
Get a CPC6128 on top of a 6128PLUS and that's it...
BTW I guess it could be greatly enhanced by the simple use of a colour monitor.
Greeny Monocolour monitor go from "black" to light green...
Colour monitor go from Black to white and colours, hence better contrast I guess.
Perhaps some auto-dithering hardware could be used as well.
BTW : it is in Mode2 ?
Mode1 may be better I guess, perhaps it can get issues, as the resolution is different...
Some low res phone cams ?
The ROMBO Digitizer allows you to use all screen modes. Framerate is actually nice.
Shit, Skype doesn't even work on Android half the time, forget it.

Well, if you will try and combine a big pile of sh*te with an even bigger pile of sh*te[nb]Yes, Android is complete sh*te and I've had many discussions with people about this, but basically they took Linux and bloated it to a degree even Microsoft would be proud of[/nb] you are quickly going to reach a critical mass ;)
Not going to bite, except to say this: root.
Used to run a ROM 90MB big until a few weeks ago. If that's bloated, then, ok. My current one clocks in at 120MB and feels anything but bloated on my dual-core SensationXE.

You mean delete the actual OS and replace it by something a third party has streamlined to remove all the bloat...? ;)
Is there any smart phone OS at the moment that doesn't profit from being rooted?
Bryce.
What do you mean be rooted?

Cracked, so that you can modify it and install the software you wish, rather than the software that the maker has deemed ok for their business model.

Cracked, ...
Thanks Bryce, I understand that.[nb]I wont get me one of these smart phones, so I'm not into that. But it's interesting of course.[/nb]

Perhaps someone could install the CPCs operating system in a phone. ;D
Actually manufacturers have started turning toward a plain-vanilla approach lately. Heck, even HTC has lightened up :D
Also, actually no, you don't delete the actual OS and replace it with something else, more like choosing a different version. There are even ROMs for every device that are more or less stock, save the extra apps.
