Title: AY-3-8912 and replacement for CPC 6128
Post by: dr4g0nsr on 17:54, 18 April 24
Hello.

Does anyone know if AY-3-8912A/P can replace  AY -3-8912?
I see only that test1 is replaced with "not connect".
Is there any other incompatibility?

Welcome to the CPCWiki!

If I remember correctly, the AY-3-8912A needs a resistor array for it to work correctly.

Which machine are you trying to fix?

I have a "half-working" AY-3-8912 on CPC 6128, which I will try to put on DIP-28 socket and replace.
I saw some thread about replacing this chip but it was 6128+.
Just wanna know if someone successfully replaced it and how.
