Hi guys!
I'm looking to add a buzzer pour my HXC.
Any idea where I can buy the kit ?
here it is my Hxc model.
Yep I got one (well 2) of those, and I'd love a buzzer too.
Here is one
Step = Pin 20

thanks Audronic (http://www.cpcwiki.eu/forum/profile/?u=1169)
but this Buzzer install looks to be for the Gotek and not HXC.
the mobo is a kind different on HXC.
CraigsBar >Where did you buy your buzzer kit?
From what I can see it's pin 12 for signal. It seems arduino buzzers are mostly 5v and have a signal pin, I don't have one yet but might give that a go. 5v and gnd come from the power point and signal from pin 12 on the 26 pin drive connector.

The device above is neither a Gotek nor a HxC. The HxC is Jeffs device, uses and SD Card and is built and supplied by Lotharek. The Gotek is a Chinese mass produced device for USB sticks.
Give it a different name (I won't mention my name suggestions here), otherwise you're confusing everyone.
Bryce.

Well those lines got blurred when the hxc firmware was launched as an upgrade to the gotek hardware.
These devices are a gotek clone with the hxc firmware.
Well, it's definitely not an HxC now, is it?
No, I vote for gotek clone myself. Anyway buzzers?
gHxCtec? :D
OK, I have ordered 5x signal high 5v buzzers. When I get them I'll test and let you know.
Here's hoping.
what players you are with my little Zaxon box! :P
I don"t care, mine works all over perfect ;D

5x... wannt listen to Pink Floyd in Quadrophonia? ;D :) :)
No... I'll use 2.... And a bundle of 5 was cheaper than 2 individuals.

Connect the remaining 3 to the PlayCity! It got 3 channels.

Hi francouai
Do you have a link to the zaxon site that includes your Gotek clone with HXC.
Thanks Ray

It's the new one... With the drive header errors so it always duplicates the disc image activated as a and b
See the other thread for PCB images and the patch cables needed.
I am not sure it has any pictures on zaxon's site yet.

One more time, I have no issue with my GoTHXC :P

So it was just me that got 2 duff ones then. Well NCBI got a good donation out of it.

But are you using two drives ?

Interestingly those images on the website show pin 6 missing not 4 as on mine. Maybe a 'fix' has been applied to later drives.
Still prefer @gerald s fix tho, as it is Abba friendly.
Edit: the indyretronews photos also who pin 6 pulled instead of 4.

If he connected pin 4 to pin 6 as in one of your drive it should work properly ... as long a the jumper is on the internal side. If the jumper is moved to select the motor on signal then problems are expected.
He better remove this jumper at all. In a CPC usage, only drive select 0 configured drive are used
- with a DDI1 (disk controller), the cable is made such that only one DS is connected to the DDI1/FDD1 (drive unit). The DDI1/FDI1 then internally connect the two drive select.
- on a 6128, only DS1 is driven on the external drive connector, so an external DD1/FDI1 cannot short DS0/DS1 together.
@francouai , any chance of a photo of the bottom of the PCB on your gotHxC? I'd love to see if the disc selection really is fixed. ;)
sorry mate, I haven"t.
I'll need to open my CPC and disassemble my GoTHxC.

Hello guys,
I finally received my Buzzer kit. (Buzzer + 5volts regul + resistor)
According from what I found on Internet about HXC + Buzzer install, I need to connect the resistor pin to the PIN 12 in the 26 pin header.
BUT
where is the pin 12??
If someone here can explain me where to connect the BUZZER pin and the +5 volt on this board, it will be great.
here it is my hxc:
Psst, that is not an HxC. It is a gotek clone running the hxc firmware. The botched wiring on the bottom right of the pin header are pins 2, 4 and 6. So count up 6 pins from the bottom right... It's about halfway up on the right hand row of pins.
thanks for your reply
So, If I'm right, here it is :

No... 2 down from that. Include the pins under the horribly ugly solder blob.

I'm all done with my buzzer install.
pretty cool stuff.
thanks!

How'd you do it.... And chance of a photo?
...and a recording :)
@francouai please tell us how you achieved this. I'd love a buzzer in my 6128plus but I am too stupid to work it out! As I have the exact same gotek clone as you some details would be nice.
