Title: C4CPC Advice
Post by: lordoftime on 09:17, 14 April 20
Hi guys, up until recently all i used this for was playing games however lately I am trying to learn more and wanted to try CubeMDOS I downloaded it and put it on the sdcard and yea it didnt work, so I asked the question in the CubeMDOS thread of how to set this up and got a load of info I dont understand given to me about rom slots 7 and its all quite intimidating... I asked if somebody could just tell me how to do it and was told to ask in the C4CPC thread - well i did a search and the thread was old so as not to necro it i made this new one... so long story short how do i use CubeMDOS from C4CPC?

Hi, the CubeDOS doesn't support C4CPC. CubeDOS is for IDE devices / mass storage devices.

The C4CPC in contrast does provide a means to hold Cartridges virtually on an SD card. Let's say the C4CPC does provide ROM, not mass storage.

For the C4CPC there is an own software. It's part of the physical C4CPC. It's the Cartridge selector.

There used to be a web tool that would let you embed ROM images into a .CPR file which I think is what you need here?

Not sure of the URL or if it still exists unfortunately!

Edit: Or this tool may do? http://www.cpcwiki.eu/forum/applications/makecart/
