Title: CPC 6128 plus keybaord issues
Post by: alphaeagle on 22:02, 16 April 20

Hi guys

I have just got myself a CPC 6128 plus, however I am having an issue with the keyboard.....

when I power on the system, I get a constant beeping until I hit a key...any key then I can select F1 or F2......

when I start typing I am getting some issues with the keyboard.....pressing k or l I get the letter m on the screen as well....

this happens on other keys as well.

however when I play burning rubber the joypad works without any issues...

SO am I looking at the AY chip or keyboard membrane....

I have cleaned the keyboard and membrane but the issue is still there.

any help would be great...

I have similar issues, the keyboard membrane is probably bad. Some key rows stop working sometimes pressing on all keys will reanimate them for a short wile.
You may disassemble your keyboard and check the traces on the membranes they are two top and bottom.Maybe you can spot the problem just looking if not you will have to get to the multimeter, you can use a silver based conductive ink to fix it.
I have no luck fixing mine can't find the place the membrane is damaged.
