Title: CPC Dandanator mini - USB type B cable to have serial working?
Post by: repetto74 on 19:23, 28 February 21
Hi Guys,

I have one USB mini type B cable (stolen from the charger of an electronic cigarette) but the serial connection with the Dandanator mini and the PC does not work. I have installed the drivers for the CH340G USB controller and they are fine when using an arduino USB to TTL module. The dandanator mini is working fine and tested ok with some games directly programmed into the ST flash with my universal programmer.
Is there a spec to follow for the USB mini type B cable?  ::)
I have checked also soldering of the USB connector and the USB controller under microscope and all looks fine.
Thanks in advance for any suggestion.
Rick

I have at least one USB Type B cable that is charging only and therefore doesn't work for any data related activity.
I suspect that may be the case with your cable as well!

Hi Skunkfish,

Indeed that was the problem  ;D . I have found another micro usb cable used to charge Playstation controllers and this one is working great!
Problem solved!
