Title: CPC464 memory expansion.
Post by: Roberts7531 on 14:39, 17 March 20
Hello, this is my first post here.
I was wondering if there are any schematics available for a ram expansion. I found some old sram chips (256K in total) and I was wondering how could I create my own RAM expansion board.

For the 464 the best solution is to take a look at Revaldhinos expansion, somewhere here in the forum.

And please, do not buy the PCB or the full RAM board from the Revaldhinos design sold by assholes on eBay...  :-\

I find it more interesting to build my own hardware, I've already created an expansion to allow data transfer from a pc. I will look for the Revaldhinos design

All the design info is here

PCBs for the 6128 version are available on Seeed https://www.seeedstudio.com/gallery-user.html?id=292951&user=richarde (https://www.seeedstudio.com/gallery-user.html?id=292951&user=richarde) (and yes, Seeed will let you have a pack of 10 bare boards including postage for less than the price some sellers on eBay charge for 1 !).

I don't seem to have made the 464 (CPLD based) PCBs available on the Seeed gallery, because I didn't really anticipate anyone building those themselves. I'll fix that. In the meantime though, I think I have some spare PCBs so PM me if you want one or perhaps even a kit of parts.

That's great and the way it ought to be in the vintage computing community these days.
Thanks for that!
