Greetings,
I recently bought a Dandanator for my Schneider CPC 464. First thing I tried was loading games based on the post and video of Amstrad_noob.
I can load the dsk files via the USB connection, but starting them doesn't work. Either nothing happens at all, or the game's start screen appears and with the first key press the CPC jumps to its basic start screen. I already had the same behavior with the games that were preinstalled. Does the Dandanator have a defect?

Thanks

That or you could have a problem with the expansion port.

Maybe it's dirty or it has a broken trace somewhere.

What tool do you have at your disposal?

And, have you tried any other expansion?

Cheers,
Rob

Hey Rob,
the expansion port works fine with the DDI-1 and connected disc drive.
The edge connector I have cleaned.
What tools do you mean?

Thanks

Multimeter, oscilloscope, eprom programmer or chip tester...

It seems to depend on the file formats.
The Dandanator probably doesn't like DSK files, even though they are supported according to the website.
Games in CDT and SNA format work fine :)

Hello,

In my case, all DSK files work well with my Dandanator.
But I am using a CPC 6128.  :)

DSK format isn't 100% supported, it's still in testing. It also can't deal with multiload games either (according to the website)

Currently playing on: 2xCPC464, 1xCPC6128, 1x464Plus, 1x6128Plus, 2xGX4000. M4 board, ZMem 1MB and still forever playing Bruce Lee.
No cheats, snapshots or emulation. I play my games as they're intended to be played. What about you?
