Title: Disabling 6128 internal drive
Post by: romppainen on 13:52, 18 August 13
I use my 6128 mainly with HxC which is connected to computer with ikonsgr's cable, and to get rid of certain oddities caused by ABAA drive selector method used in this cable I want to add a switch to cut power from internal drive when needed: Is it enough to cut just either one of 5V and 12V lines or do I need double channel switch to drop both voltages?

Opening the 5V should be enough. The 12V is only to power the motors, but without any command from the 5V circuitry, they're not going to do very much.

Hi,

5 V is enough, because it supplies the electronics. The 12 V is for the drive motor only.
