Title: DSK image extraction from an HXC image file
Post by: Maniac on 09:27, 15 June 14
To help Executioner fix a bug in Parados I need to extra a DSK image from an HXC image of a ROMDOS D20 format disk.

On my 6128+ it works as expected and reads both sides transparently. When I try and load the HXC image using the Windows tool it says it only has 1 side so I can't get to all of the content on the disk.

Any ideas as to how I can export this to a DSK image or what I can change config wise in the Windows tool so that it sees both sides?

I'll post this to the HXC forums as well but thought I'd try here as well. Sorry if it's in the wrong bit of the forum.

Not sure, how did you get two sides on a single HxC and how do you switch between them?

Using Parados I formatted the disk as a ROMDOS D20 disk which is double sided 80 tracks. The newer firmware for HxC allows you to do this so it acts like a 3.5" drive. No side switching required.

I think that this may be a bug in the Windows tool regarding format detection. If I create the same disk format in WinApe to a DSK image the HXC Windows tool correctly detects 80 tracks - 2 sides. Once I have my account verified on their forum I'll post a query.
