Title: EME-156 drive led always on (very dim, but on)
Post by: SerErris on 09:05, 17 February 22
Hi,

I purchased a new 6128 and did a drive belt change and put in a self made write enable pin (the original one was already missing).

The drive now works flawless.

But one thing I do not remember from the past is, that the drive activity LED is always on (very dim light), like it is not fully turned of.

I have a EME-156 drive in it. So my questions: Is that normal? It is one of the cost down drive implementations in the later models.

It is a Schneider CPC6128, heavily shielded ... wow never seen that :-)

That's perfectly normal. The LED should always be dimly lit and brighter when accessing a disk.

Bryce.
