Hi, Just wondering if the Epson LX300 printer is compatible with the 6128? Or would any printer (ie inkjet/dot matrix) work as long it has a centronics type interface?
Mainly printing from Tasword 6128 and Mini-Office II.
Many Thanks
Yes, you should be fine with a centronics dot-matrix printer, especially an Epson one, since they have the defacto standard command set ESC/P (which pretty much all cpc software supports.) You might also be able to get an older Epson inkjet going, since I think they also supported ESC/P.
Thank you Pelrun :)
Off to the computer area of the local "Trash or Treasure" market to see what I can find. I'm staying clear of eBay, there are a few dot matrix/Epson printers listed, but for some reason they are all in the U.S. and shipping costs to Australia range from $80.00 to nearly $200.00 AUD :o
I don't have it any more, but I used an Epson Color Stylus 685 for years on my CPC.
Bryce.
Hi!
You can basically use every printer with a centronics interface. I use an HP Deskjet 500. Very nice printout!
For protext / prowort you can easily define our own printer drivers. So it doesn't matter which language the printer speaks. (I did that for HP in case somebody needs the driver).
