Title: GX4000 Cart Conversion
Post by: tjohnson on 16:12, 11 November 17

I've managed to source a 6128+ and have an world of sports cart I have started to convert so I can swap the ROMs and play the games I used to have on my GX4000, I've got to the point of having removed the old ROM, yes it still works, but before I solder the socket it place I thought it would be worth asking is if there is anything I can do to enhance it, it would be good to be able to configure it using a dip switch for different sized ROMs.  The world of sports ROM is an M27C1001 and the PCB is a 2700-023P-1 with hard wired LK1 and LK6 links.  If you were wondering I dumped the ROM and its identical to the one on CPC Mania.
Cheers Trevor

So I went ahead and soldered down the socket and then made up some sticky labels for the EPROMs.  I can now play the some of the games I owned and a couple of others I wanted but was never able to find.
