Title: gx4000 cartridge cad model for 3d printing
Post by: nitrofurano on 16:00, 17 August 14
i'm not sure about the exact sizes of the gx4000 cartridge (it seems plenty of mistakes), but i started a cad model (still in 2d, and far incomplete) of it for 3d printing anyway

so i guess there are people that would help fixing and improving it, and people might want to print some cartridge cases? what do you all think?

(btw, i used Draftsight for making that, but i think LibreCad would be fine for this as well)

I did a sketchup a while ago, available here : Existing games => Cartridges (http://www.cpcwiki.eu/forum/games/existing-games-gt-cartridges/msg63397/#msg63397)
Fell free to use it  :)

btw, it is quite painful to run SketchUp on GNU/Linux via Wine (shame on SketchUp developers on not providing a native GNU/Linux version of it ) - i don't know if you or someone can convert it to .obj (Maya, AliasWavefront), .dae (Collada), .3ds, or other formats that can be open more easily on Blender (for example), or dwg/dxf for cad editors - this would be awesome
