BONUS - I am thinking of using a MOUSE INTERFACE for the morse button!

For widespread global distribution of my product - what is the most used mouse interface these days?

... a morse terminal for the CPC
Keyer (straight/iambic)? Decoder? Tone generator? What do you mean?
Much as I like vintage hardware, sometimes cheap microcontrollers do the best job: Arduino CW Keyer – Radio Artisan (https://blog.radioartisan.com/arduino-cw-keyer/). Never got too good at keying or decoding, as fldigi does a good job of both.
