Keyer (straight/iambic)? Decoder? Tone generator? What do you mean?
Much as I like vintage hardware, sometimes cheap microcontrollers do the best job: Arduino CW Keyer – Radio Artisan. Never got too good at keying or decoding, as fldigi does a good job of both.
