Title: hardware colors
Post by: Fran123 on 20:06, 19 December 24
Hello!

Does anyone know the reason for the hardware colours (which are in a different order than the firmware colours), and is
there any reference to this?

Thank you

At a guess. The hardware colours are just arranged in the most convenient way for wiring, I'd suspect. The firmware arrangement is meant to keep the colours in order of ascending brightness.

The colors are based on the wiring of the RGB signals and resistors. Each signal can be 0, 1/2 or 1 in a 3x3 array or resistors thus 27 colours.
Also the colors are coded in the GA and the simplest method was taken to minimise potential errors.
