Title: How to pimp a Schneider RS232 interface...
Post by: GUNHED on 16:51, 16 October 18
This nice interface here...

... has a Z80STI chip.

Now, how to pimp it? Means, can we connect the interrupt generator facility to the CPC. The INT or the NMI line? This would be great!  :)

Interesting - what would we use these interupts for? Is that similar to Play City and its interupts?

It could be in case we use the NMI pins. Since the STI got four times, IIRC 1 & 2 are unused.

Also if the device can make a proper INT then we can use RS232 INT driven and so with higher baud rates and doing other things at the same time. (I'm thinking about IM 2, vectorized interrupts).

Of course the CPC-Booster+ made that all obsolete, but it's still nice to work with that kind of devices.
