Hi Guys.
Does anyone have a copy of the HxC Sd Floppy emulator firmware v http://1.6.0.0 (http://1.6.0.0)
I have upgraded mine to http://1.7.2.0 (http://1.7.2.0) (and again to http://1.7.2.7 (http://1.7.2.7)) however both have one slight issue... They only ever make AUTOBOOT.HFE available. If any other HFE file is selected in any slot then Disc Missing is the nasty AmsDos message.
The HXC file manager on CPC works and HFE files can be loaded into the 15 slots with no issues. However using them is next to impossible.
The issue is not with the HFE files, as autoboot.hfe also returns Disc Missing if it is mounted as a normal disc in one of the slots, it works fine as the autoboot disc however. Also renaming R-Type_128K_dualside.hfe to AUTOBOOT.HFE on the SD card and then restarting the HxC also allows R-Type to be played. So the images themselves are good too.
I guess if someone has a old zip of http://1.6.0.0 (http://1.6.0.0) then I can downgrade to a working version once more.
Many thanks
Craig.
You probably have a bad jumper configuration. Please recheck it :

the http://1.7.2.0 (http://1.7.2.0) is working very well here.
EDIT :
Another point : the autoboot.hfe is working well because it is loaded into the drive a AND drive b slots.
Normal image are only loaded into "drive a" or "drive b" according to your selection into the manager.
Are you sure that the jumper is set for the drive a ? it's probably the issue here.

Spot on Jeff, Although the Jumper was at fault. it was only contacting one pin. Slight pressure on it and all is good again, Just a bit wierd that this coincided with with firmware update.
Anyway it is currently running perfectly well again with Firmware 1.7.2.7 (http://1.7.2.7)
Regards
Craig
Good news and good to know :)
