HI! :)
The smuggling operation to Brazil worked great and as you can see in the pictures the "goods" (1x464, 2x6128, 1x6128+, 1xAtari 800XL, 1xZX +2A and a lot of expansions... and in my next visit i will bring my PCW and the Dragon, because there was not enough space in the baggage xDDD) are in good state ;D

Of course, i was stopped by customs, but when i opened the suitcase, the official only touch the zx spectrum, saw a lot of cables and let me go (not enough material for a bomb xDDD)... Thanks God!!!, he didn't see the three (light) guns or i will stay in prison yet ;D
And now to the important thing, the electricity is not a problem, in Fortaleza (a city in the north-east) we get 240v/60Hz and the CPCs work perfectly here.
My bigger problem is that this amazing country use PAL-M (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/PAL-M), this "thing" is NTSC except the colour carrier is encoded in PAL... the result: my poor CPCs and the XL are in a sad B&W.
I'm using a converter from scart to video composite, too. Because of course, there is not TVs with scart here.
I suppose that my best options are a converter to VGA or preferably HDMI, looks more future proof those days and those plasma tvs support 50Hz (but i suppose that i need to forget about CRTC smooth horizontal scrollers for now :( ).
What do you think? Any good ideas for recover the colours in my CPCs? Which solutions are you using for seeing your CPCs in exotic non-PAL countries?
CPCs were sold with monitors to prevent any diffculties like this ;D
RGB to S-Video and then an S-Video to VGA and use a standard 4:3 PC monitor.
Bryce.
Thanks Bryce! It's one option, jejeje :)
But Steve, i haven't used a CPC monitor since i was a child and i would prefer not use one :P

That of course would give the best picture (for games, demos. Not coding maybe). But to transport a monitor in a plane is always nearly impossible. They freak out.
So... SyX, can you get a monitor with scart from somewhere which runs in Brazil? IMHO all this converters take a lot of quality away sadly.
Why you don't said me that yesterday... I have sent you a packet this morning and was able to add an RGB to VGA or RGB to HDMI converter.
Buuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu !!!
