Title: Internal gotek for 464+
Post by: tjohnson on 12:46, 29 January 19
Hi all , I've upgraded my 464+ to 6128+ spec.  I've been considering adding an internal gotek with the oled screen buttons and rotary encoder mounted where the disk drive normal goes.  It looks like there is space for these here.  How do people feel about cutting up the case for these things  I've already cut the case to mount the external fdd connector.  Will I be committing a violation against the preservation of Retro technology or implementing a sensible addition to improve it.

Thanks for the info, looks spot on.  I think I'll go ahead and mod the computer in include the internal gotek.

Hi Bryce, I've made a good start on installing the gotek  the main issue is mounting it and getting it all inside the case I can see on your conversion you used some small pieces of box metal  what are those a that kind of thing may help me get it all installed and lined up. Thanks Trevor

Yes, some frame work was required, but mainly to get the SD card to the correct spot. The bars are brass L-bars, you can buy them in modelling shops, very popular with the model railway enthusiasts.
