Title: Keyboard issue on some keys
Post by: stelaras1 on 21:15, 25 December 24
Merry Christmas everyone 🎄

After turning on my CPC 6128 on Christmas time after so many years, I see some strange input while pressing some keys, most of them are ok but for instance pressing:

R gives 5RD
5 gives 5RD
C gives 3EC
3 gives 3EC
O gives 9OM
M gives 9OM
U gives 7UN
N gives 7UN
7 gives 7UN

Any ideas please 🧐

Thanks a lot 🙏

Maybe just dust on the membrane.

Open the CPC and the keyboard, then gently clean the membrane with a dry, soft tissue.

I got fed up with misbehaving membranes in my 6128 and ordered a couple from sintech last month.
They are decent quality and so happy that my fave bit of tech lives on.
