I want to play GameBoy games on my Amstrad GT64 Monochrome monitor and have been looking for ways to connect a SNES to the GT64.
I think I need an LM1881 sync stripper to remove the sync from the composite video and connect it to the sync pin on the GT64 and connect the luminance to lum.
I was looking for feedback on whether this would work or if anyone had done something similar.
(Or maybe this adapter would work?) (https://coolnovelties.co.uk/coolnovelties/amstrad-video-cables/26-amstrad-ctm-644-monitor-rgb-scart-adapter-0705693505299.html)

You can also try to connect the composite video directly to the composite input without the IC

The Amstrad GT64 does not have a composite video input. Only RGB, sync and lum.

Luminance is kind of a monochrome composite video signal.

did ou mean Lum?
I think he means to the sync pin, while the Y output of the SNES goes to the lum pin.
QuoteThe LUM input on a GT65 can be more or less used like a composite input. Amstrad used the seperate Sync signal mainly for the colour monitors but also used it to enhance the sharpness on the monochrome monitors although the sync signal is also superimposed onto the LUM signal already. Try connecting the composite out of the other computer just to LUM and GND. It should give you an ok picture.

I need to use an LM1881 sync stripper for sync or else the video becomes all wavy (https://youtu.be/fRCuQqBLRDA?si=Lxw45MHgSiZGUFoD)
