Poll
Question:
Which badge would you prefer?
Option 1: 464, plain logo
votes: 1
Option 2: 464, striped logo
votes: 4
Option 3: 6128, plain logo
votes: 10
Option 4: 6128, striped logo
votes: 7
Ok, in order to move forward as discussed here: Wanted : Amstrad 6128 metal case badge (http://www.cpcwiki.eu/forum/classifieds/wanted-amstrad-6128-aluminum-plate-logo/) we need to decide which badge to go for so we can assess how possible it is and at what cost.
The first question (please answer the poll) is:
-Which model do you want the badge for, 464 or 6128? Bear in mind that the 6128 is thinner and split in two parts (one with the name, one that sits around the LED and contains the RGB stripes), while the 464 one is taller and includes the RGBstripes
-Do you prefer the old (plain) logo, or the new (striped) one?
Here are the two, for reference:

Old Logo
[attach=3]
New Logo.
Also, please reply to this post to say how many you'd want, so we can judge the cost accordingly. Obviously, the more the better, so do keep in mind that it's unlikely that these are produced again (even if we're successful). I'd probably take 4 or 5 myself.
Thanks!

I'll go for this.
The funny thing is that we don't have a decent photo in here with so many machines :P
I can take better photos, but these are just for reference, no need to be great :)
Not wanting to be picky, but you have the New & Old the wrong way around.
The old logo was plain but raised, the new logo had the stripe and was flat.
I would take at least 1 of each type.
Cheers,
Shane
Ah, I thought it was so, but it was pointed to me in the other thread this was the correct way :D
Oh, also, please concentrate only on *1* option because we need to get costs for a specific one and then we'll see if it's worth it. Hence why I didn't allow multiple votes... So please, @00WReX (http://www.cpcwiki.eu/forum/index.php?action=profile;u=518) , pick just one for now :)
OK, I just chose one. :)
I just read the other thread...you were correct originally.
The striped logo's are definitely the later ones.
The Wiki has it correct ;)
Keyboard Versions - CPCWiki (http://www.cpcwiki.eu/index.php/Keyboard_Versions)
Cheers,
Shane
Oh, you're right, I keep forgetting about the wiki :D Will correct the OP.
We need Plus badges as well! :D :D
Yeah, we also need to walk before we run :D
Didn't incude them because I would guess demand for the normal series would far outweigh that for the Plus series.
:'( I will take one of the others then...
I would like the stripped logo ;D
[attach=2]
but if we could make it in french :-X
[attach=3]
just kidding ... i need just 1 of those because it's the english logo for now..
i'm voting for it already
Ok, then vote but also state the quantity :)
While I voted for the 6128 striped, I wouldn't mind getting the plain either. Just one would be enough for me.
This thread has come at a great time for me as my 6128 came with the badge missing. :'( I never thought I would have a chance to replace it. :)
Plain 6128 for me. I like shiney new stuff :P

Quantity, please... :)
oh ok, errrm. Two? ;D
Dude, you're lazy :D
My original 6128 had the striped badge, so I'd want another one of those.
I'd have a 6128 badge, not that bothered by which one. I'd take 3 if the price wasn't too much.
the second question is do we have a manufacturer in a short term that could answer our needs and in what quantities and at what price? :-X
Kind of, read the other thread linked to in the OP; that's why I started this poll :)

I know ;D that's me who ask about it at the beginning  i just wanna know if you have some news about the making..
No, because I must first gather the numbers and the design...
ready in time for xmas then?!!
Who knows, could be, depending on response. But I don't see much of it...
Having spoken to a few CPC owners on Twitter, alot of people (me included) think a new badge for the disc drive would be a good idea as well. How many 6128's do you see with that metalwork still in good condition? Very few (certainly neither of mine).
Indeed that'd be nice, and probably easy too, though a different procedure...
Actually, I just realised I've got access to 2 wax Alps printers that someone dumped at my Hackerspace. Wonder how well they'd do at reproducing the labels via decal transfer to aluminium shim?

And since the metalwork is the same as the Spectrum +3 you might find a market with Speccy owners as well.
I'd like to have
1 CPC 464 (old version)
1 CPC 464 (new version)
1 CPC 6128 (old version)
3 in total
