I guess you named it all: Mother X4, MiniBooster (includes Bluetooth module and USB cable) and a power supply for the MX4 board.

Well when only using the MB on MX4 the CPCs power might be enough, but from own experiences i can tell that the bluetooth module sucks a lot of power. So the best is to get a PSU for the Mother MX4. Get at least 3 A (at 5 V). You can get them cheap at Amazon.  :)

4x motherboard does not need external power but you recommend me an external source is feeding 3v or 5v ... as I connect the external power to the motherboard4x ?? can get the link to any particular model of power supply ?

5v, and preferably one that can power both the CPC and the mother4x. That seems to be the most reliable IMHO.

Buying a 5v psu solves everything? but I have to use the welder to do something? I have no soldier in my life ... hehehehe
You can get a picture of you as you have it mounted the source.. and get some links to buy one?

No soldering needed, you can get a PSU which directly fits into the Mother X4 board or the CPC. It's the same plug. I use an Y cable to divide PSU power to Mother X4 and CPC.  ;)

hello friends...Some months ago I get my miniBOOSTER. but had the CPC 6128 failed, I finally they were able to fix I willing to make the miniBOOSTER very happily to connect with 4x as well buy motherboard and I have noticed that the connector I has arrived is the cpc plus if I'm not mistaken it's blue connector, I have ordered the 6128 model .he looked mail order and when I put the following: Ribbon cable: Edge
I was wrong and I chose wrong or I have received wrong?

Take a look at this picture. If you ordered "Edge" then you should have received the cable on the left:

The cable on the right (Centronics) is for German CPCs or CPC+.

Folks, I just can't find any information about MiniBooster on wiki section. Shouldn't it get mentioned on Peripherals page, let aside having a dedicated chapter?

I think all things related MotherX4 and @totO's work need more coverage on this board.

What do you think, don't we need more spotlight on modern peripherals?

It is 99% compatible with the CPC Booster, so all the info is here: CPC Booster - CPCWiki (http://www.cpcwiki.eu/index.php/CPC_Booster)

Thank you.

See? At least this 1 line of information is useful :)

Yeah, but in order to put that little info in there we'd also need to know what is that 1% of difference...

The MiniBooster exclude all the CPCBooster+ "older" connectors to reduce the board size and to be more versatile.
Instead, it mainly provide a blutooth socket and a 16-pins connector that allow to add some modules and expansions like:
- Serial's USB, RS232, RS485, Ethernet, WIFI... TTL Modules.
- SPI's SD Card, RTC, LCD... Custom expansions.

INP(&FF00) return 170. (It is a booster board)
INP(&FF01) return 238 on a MiniBooster, but 85 on a CPCBooster.
That allow to know witch board is used and properly set the device speed and supported features.

I'd love to see some of these being made available, particularly USB, Wifi and Ethernet. I would then but a 2nd minibooter like a shot!
