Title: MiniBooster Windows 10
Post by: msmthng on 14:43, 10 October 17
Hi, did anybody try to connect to the CPC using a PC running on Windows 10 (64bit)
The device is paired, i can start AFT and it writes out it is listening for the CPC on the dedicated port.
If i use the RSX commands to communicate to the server i get the message that the pc is not ready.
Any ideas?

Thx

Martin

Depends on where you got your AFT.EXE. The old versions (including the one on the minibooster disc) were incredibly buggy.

Once TFM made an manual... maybe this can help...

Connect CPC with PC using Bluetooth
-----------------------------------
- Switch on PC and CPC with Mini-Booster and Bluetooth module
- On CPC start INIT115K.BAS
- On PC side goto Control Panel, Hardware, Add a Bluetooth device
- Select CPC MiniBooster, goto Enter devices pairing code
- Enter code: 1234
- Click at device, CPC MiniBooster properties
- Goto Hardware, Properties
- Click at Port Settings
- Alter speed to 115200
- Goto Advanced, change COM port number to COM1 (else it's probably COM6)
- Click OK, OK and OK
- Start AFT using the Command prompt

* When changing the COM port the first time, the old COM6 or 7 may remain the only usable for a while.
Reason of this delay is unknown.

Connect CPC with PC using a COM to USB Link
-------------------------------------------
- Install drivers
- connect first three wires to Mini-Booster. NEVER the fourth
- If contact is not there unplug and replug USB plug in PC
- On my PC it's COM port 6, but it can be different on other PCs.

AFT.EXT - Manual
----------------
- Pair Bluetooth device, remember serial port, usually it's 6 (on this laptop)

- Start Windows Command prompt (Accessories)

- goto the DIRectory which contains AFT.EXT

- Enter AFT.EXT /6

- AFT will open the COM6 port and report about it's success

- Now the PC awaits commands from the CPC :-D

AFT-Update:
-----------
Proposen Command is

aft -p COM40

Are you just randomly trying comport numbers or have you actually looked up what the comport number of your adapter is? On windows, it *will* change somewhat arbitrarily.

Using the port shown in device manager. If iam trying the software from minibooster it is opening the board but with the issue on cpc side that no pc is waiting.
