Title: modded rom

hi to all, I have a question for you... anyone know if exist for cpc range of computer a modded system rom like +3e for amstrad zx spectrum +3 (The ZX Spectrum +3e Homepage (http://www.worldofspectrum.org/zxplus3e/)), or pprom for Sinclair zx spectum 48k+ (ZX Spectrum Do It Yourself (http://piters.tripod.com/zx.htm)), that permit the use of a simple hard disk interface like this (Hard Disk Interfaces (http://www.worldofspectrum.org/zxplus3e/interface.html#simple)) that is link to Z80 cpu or expansion bus?

Hi emilen72,
        there are many DOS ROMs available for the CPC, but they are all too large to be integrated into the OS ROM like the 3e does. They need to be added in parallel using a ROMBoard / MegaFlash or similar. There are some modded OS ROMs, but these have only minor changes such as colours, boot messages or screen mode.

...maybe in conjuction with the "Lower-Rom-Board" and the "Mega-Flash" such feature would be possible?
(a modded OS-Rom linked with an existing or special IDE-Rom).

Yes, but it would still be spread across two ROMs and need extra hardware (The MegaFlash), the LowerROM is not really necessary, because you can always install the ROM inside the CPC.
