Yeah, the PulkoMandy's customization at his Booster to attach at the pc via USB, it's really NICE!!! :)

But it would be great, if this customization was avalaible already with the Booster, because not everybody can make it... and in my personal case, i don't need all the features of the Booster, i would be perfectly happy with a CPC serial interface <--> USB pc, and of course, that let me attach the MegaFlash to be able to make my own communication serial rom ;)

Well, you talk about an important point. It's the question about what you need.

- A serial high-speed interface: Part of the CPC-Booster, Pulko's Interface.

- A coprocessor card, and the Booster is one :-)

- An USB card :)

I was not completely able to see who to transform the Booster into a USB interface. And I think it may be not the right choice to alter standard hardware, better to go for a new solution. On the other had if it would be possible to create an expansion for the Booster that makes it an USB interface, why not? The ATMega32 provides enought space to add drivers to the existing firmware of the booster.

I thought about connecting the V-Drive to the Booster, but the V-Drive wants 5 Volt and the Booster (as real RS232) provides 12 Volt, ok, you can work around the MAX232, but I don't want to alter standard hardware, als programming becomes a mess. And only few can reproduce.

So my suggetion for the USB: A specific USB adapter for the CPC would be desirable. One which doesn't depend on other expansions.

Just my zwoa Pfennig ;-)
