You need a centronic adapter for the Plus, which is different from the centronics adapter for a regular 6128 with centronics port.
As CraigsBar said, there is a shift in the pins to do.

Ic. I have never seen a cpc6128 with centronics. Only 6128plus. I guess i ordered the wrong thing.  Does anyone sell 6128plus adapters?

I wish zaxon had written they dont work on 6128plus as in Australia all 6128pluses have centronics and all cpc6128 has edge connector... anyway it looks too messy to modify the adapter... so if someone with a cpc with centronics wants them i have 2 useless cpc6128 floppy centronics to edge connectors free to a good home... and no not for someone to resell... you must be able to use them... if you lie you will forever be known as a c... as i will pay the postage.

I Have just had a look at the Sellmyretro site and it says :-
Description

Floppy drive adapter from 36 pin Centronics port in CPC 6128+  to edge slot. Allow connect my USB floppy emulator.
It appears that if you have a 6128 PLUS then this has been designed for the 6128 PLUS and should work.
If you are having problems then it Probably is NOT the centronics Converter.

Hey guys, the CPC6128 (Schneider, Centronics) and 6128 Plus do have DIFFERENT Centronics pin layout on the drive B port!!! If you use a cable made for the one computer at the other computer, then you will create a shortcut and most likely kill the FDC!!! So DON'T mix things up here!
