Title: Reset Switch on a 6128+
Post by: Manu on 22:51, 26 March 13
Hi,

I finally installed a HxC drive in my 6128+, and I also made a cable to watch the computer in my VGA monitor using a cheap RGB to VGA converter. Right now I'm trying to install a reset switch, using this guide:

Reset Button - CPCWiki (http://www.cpcwiki.eu/index.php/Reset_Button)

But I've found that the reset isn't very reliable on the reset pin. Sometimes the sistem resets, sometimes it freezes. When I boot Burning Rubber, and I try to reset, some bars appear on the screen and the computer freezes.

Is there a reliable instalation on this computer?

Thanks :D

Not sure if relevant.Peripheral Soft Reset - CPCWiki (http://www.cpcwiki.eu/index.php/Peripheral_Soft_Reset)

Perhaps you should check your connectic or the quality of the button you used?

Does your switch have a problem? Get a better one! Because if it has two times contact in a short time it can screw up things.

On my plus I soldered two wires on two pins of the expansion port (in the keyboard) and made a tip-switch at the backside, it always worked fine.

I bought fast switches... almost 3€ a piece :P But maybe that's the problem.
