Title: RGB Framemeister
Post by: nico24 on 20:32, 10 November 17
HI,

I have a 6128. I am using the RGB cable from Retro Computing Shack - it is a very good quality cable and has an input power into the cable. Now - to power the 6128 I'm using only a 5V power supply, not using a 12V supply since I don't use the internal floppy (I use a Gotek external).

When I plug the system into my Framemeister upscaler I get a lot of noise on the signal. This happens both when the 5 volts is used for the scart cable, and when I use it direct into the machine.

If I plug into a cheaper upscaler I still have some noise, but it is manageable.

Any ideas why this would be? anyone else get noise like that? When I say noise I mean a slightly strange noise in the picture, but also a load noise in both speaker and on the tv.

Do I need a sync stripper?

I'm using a Framemeister Mini with a Amstrad Scart Cable and a Special European Scart-Adapter for the Framemeister ("EuroSCART to Framemeister XRGB Mini" from Retro Gaming Cables).
