Title: Snips
Post by: Bryce on 07:56, 21 August 19
Hi all,

have any of you heard about Snips? It's an open source RaspberryPi based voice recognition system. I think I need to strap one of these onto my CPC :)

"Alexa, please fü€k off, my CPC will take over from here on" :)

"Ok Arnold, turn on the lights"

Only, you have to give the command in the morning so that it turns them on in the evening, by the time it has completed processing the command.

Doh, the Rpi does the processing, the CPC doesn't have enough RAM for even a single word recognition. Anyway, I was more thinking on the lines of voice input to the CPC. Like I would say - 10 Print "Gryzor has completely missed the point" and it would appear on the screen.

There is also the Movi Shield

and the Grove

I'd like a CPC assistant that still does something CPC-related, such as "Arnold, let's play Fruity Frank!"

I am wondering how long until we get the GPU / AI powered dev boards such as the

in a "Blue Pill" kind of STM32 board form factor with low power consumption... that will really open up possibilities in "AI for the CPC!".
