Title: Using the Amstrad CTM644 Monitor
Post by: remagorter on 10:24, 03 July 21
Maybe somebody can help. I am trying to use my CPC colour monitor for other purposes. I bought a scart to rgb adapter from cool novelties and have so far plugged into the monitor; an amiga, spectrum, bbc micro and megadrive with success but when I plug in a Wii, although I get a good picture, the colours are off, with a green tinge. Does anyone know how to correct this. Maybe it needs resistors in line. I've tested the wii scart lead in a flat screen tv and the colours are fine. It is an rgb scart lead as opposed to composite, hence why I am getting a picture on the amstrad monitor.
Thank you

Can we convert the part of the Amstrad monitor that enters the CPC to a female Scart input? if we can do that i will start using my Schneider CTM 644 monitor again. Can you give more detailed information?

If I can add female scart to Schneider, namely Amstrad CTM 644 monitor, can I connect computers such as commodore 64, sinclair zx spectrum or Amiga?

You can make a female SCART input, but it will only be useful for computers with an RGB output such as the Amiga, but not the sinclair or commodore.

but I did AV mode on my Sinclair ZX Spectrum, Atari 2600 and Commodore 64. So I can get images from scart. I disabled the RF output. In this case, thanks to this modding, I can use my Amstrad color monitor on these devices, right? So I guess it's nothing special.

No. Real SCART has RGB, composite and S-Video inputs, but CPC monitors only have RGB inputs or a monochrome composite input, so even with the mods, the monitor can't display them (in colour). The SCART input would only accept RGB signals.
