Today I grabbed my CPC+ and connected it to my PC.
There I see that vertical lines appear on the screen.
(Like on my CTM monitor, but there I first thought, thats a problem because CTM is perhaps a bit different)
So my questions are now:
- Do other plus users have the same problem?
- Can someone tell me how to fix that?
When I connect my + to my old skool CRT tv, using SCART, I dont get any of this - just a good, clean signal like any other Amstrad CPC.
How are you connecting it? I remember when I built my scart lead I soldered some resistors on the RGB lines. I can't remember what values, I'll have to open the lead up - perhaps this is the issue?
(Actually, re-reading your original message, this also happens on your CTM... so the resistor thing is not an issue)
My bros got another issue with his CPC+, the colors get darker, apprently it's coming from his old CRT, the CPC+ scart cable doesn't transmit the good voltage on the pin 16 (that switch between RGB or composite) so so the CRT doesn't switch on the good mode.. maybe it's a similar issue?
If pin 16 is dropping you should add the capacitor shown here: http://www.cpcwiki.eu/index.php/TV_SCART_cable#Alternative_RGB_Wiring (http://www.cpcwiki.eu/index.php/TV_SCART_cable#Alternative_RGB_Wiring)
