Hello. I was wondering where i may buy ULA 40010 for my CPC464. Of course i found them on Ebay but for 20 GBP. I personally think thats too much for an old IC. So i tried to search ULA by pasting its designation (Gate Array and ASIC Pin-Outs - CPCWiki (http://www.cpcwiki.eu/index.php/Gate_Array_and_ASIC_Pin-Outs#40pin_Gate_Array_40010_.28HSG3130_or_HSG3170.29)) into search bar. And i found them on 2 sites:
HSG31, HSG3130, HSG3170, | HSG31 Electronic Components (http://www.uscomponent.com/h/HSG3130-HSG3170.html)
hsg3130 - AREA 51 Recertified (http://www.area51recertified.com/partno-hsg3130)
Do you think this sites are trustworthly and they sell actual ULA?
Cheers.
Probably neither site have them, they just think there's a chance they might be able to obtain them at a profit if someone places an order... In this case as an entire CPC 464 can be bought on ebay for £10 on occasions, they'd definitely make a profit at £20!
I'm not sure why you think HSG3130 is a valid part number for the chip though. The part was made by Ferranti for Amstrad only and so is only known as 40010.
That said, I think TFM managed to source some ULAs a while ago, so he might be able to sell you one...
Yes, they made money on the CPC community with old parts.
You can get some CPC circuits like 40007 and 40010 on centpourcent.net (http://www.centpourcent.net/store/c1/Produits_disponibles.html) for 4.90€ only. ;)
Please, support the website!!! 8)
Ok,so i would buy an ULA from your shop but i dont have paypal nor any kind of internet bank account. What should i do?
You can select the credit card method on the Paypal login page if you don't have account.
Because items are hard to find, please only select the needed quantity... And don't forget to select the wished shipping method before the checkout.
