Title: What is the best HxC-Version to buy
Post by: Shining on 00:31, 14 November 14
Cause I've only left one working 3"-Drive, I want to buy a replacement. I think best way'll be a HxC but looking at the shop there are so many different versions. So my question: What's the best Version (price/performance ratio) for my 6128 (ABBA-Switch intern) ?

I have the Rev C in a black box as (a) it's nice and tidy and (b) I can also use it with my other machines.

However if you are cash strapped go for the bare board version. The boxed or unboxed and colour of the LCD is down to personal preference and budget really.

Well I have a Bare board one, because when I bought it that was all that existed ;)

I have no complaints with the functionality or build quality. I have however hot glue gunned a sheet of plastic (Cut from a DVD Case) to the bottom of the PCB to prevent shorts. Other than that it works perfectly and I have no complaints.

If I were buying one now then I guess it's be the cased one in grey so it matches my 464plus.

I will however be soon buying the drive bay model one for my PcW9512+

Perhaps I'll end up with all 3 LOL
