hi,So apparently (according to this http://www.cpcwiki.eu/forum/amstrad-cpc-hardware/sales-figures/ (http://www.cpcwiki.eu/forum/amstrad-cpc-hardware/sales-figures/) ) there were 70,000 Amstrad CPC 664's made, but how many CPC 472's ? does anyone know ? or to put it another way, which is rarer, the 664 or the 472 ?
follow on question, according to this timeline https://www.cpcwiki.eu/index.php/472#2._CPC472_with_British_Keyboard (https://www.cpcwiki.eu/index.php/472#2._CPC472_with_British_Keyboard) there were 2 models of 472 produced, one with the english keyboard and one with the spanish keyboard, any idea how many of each of those variations were produced ?
thanks in advance for any pointers
cheers
niall
472, but even more rare is the 7512
how can you say for certainty that the 472 is rarer i'm interested to know more, also what is the 7512 ?
IIRC the relevant law was repealed soon thereafter, so I'd guess that probably not a significant number of 472s was produced.
The 7512 was produced for a brief time in Gunhed's head, between the 6128 and the 81024. I guess it had both a drive and a tape, while the 81024 came with two drives? I'm sure he'll tell us more.
Well, I saw a 472 once in my lifetime. But I saw about 50-60 CPC664. Precise numbers are not known to me - and it would't help Cause it's not telling how many are alive today.
I'd say the 472 by far.
Consider that it was only released in Spain for a very short time, while the 664, even as short-lived as it was, was sold for longer and in several countries (you have Amstrad and Schneider 664, for example).
664 was sold for 6 or 7 months I think?
Have you ever seen the Amstrad CPC 5512?
