After receiving my multi eprom cart back from Bryce (thanks again and robocop 2 is bloody hard) I bought a cheap ic programmer and a flash rom 29F010b
I wrote rick dangerous 128+ to it, bin image not cbr, and put it in my 6128+ but all I get is a brown screen.
I'm thinking that it hasn't writen the file to the right place on the rom. It has to be writen in the first memory block in the rom if I'm correct.
Have I done it wrong and how do I do it right.
I'm using a top385 programmer. Told you it was cheap but it does seem to work and after I selected the chip and loaded the file it did it automatically so I probably don't have it set up correctly.
Hi Seanb,
can you point me to the BIN file you've used.
Bryce.
Cheers.
I'll send it when I get home

Just what I was wondering.
So it sounds like the file then.
must've got it from someone who was experimenting with putting it in a cart.
I'll try a proper plus bin file and upload the one I have in a bit.
So I wrote Batman to the flash rom and works perfectly. :D :D :D
In fact it was a little too easy which always has me concerned.
Anyway here's the rick dangerous bin file.
Couldn't find where I got it from but did find a thread where a guy said he had tested rick dangerous on Bryces multi eprom cart and converted Rick dangerous to CPR then to BIN and it worked.
I didn't get the rom from there and remember the guy was unsure if it worked and would people test it on a real machine
The good news is that the .cpr is working on a real Plus.
The bad news is that it is the official rick dangerous on cartridge with plus colours option, not rick dangerous 128+ :D
Blugh.
I guess I was too excited to play it I downloaded the wrong one. I did get it from the same place I got the Batman file and that works.
Guess I'll have to wait until I get a hxc
Well at least you know how to burn EPROMs now :)
Bryce.
