Title: z-mem or x-mem
Post by: TameBest on 10:17, 05 September 22
Dear all,
I recently purchased an Amstrad CPC 6128 and I would like to purchase a memory expansion. I was told "Toto" was producing Z-mem memory expansion (1 Mb) and I'd really like to purchase one. The delay is not that important to me (I've been waiting 40 years after the CPC was on the market to buy one ^^).
Is there any way of ordering one ?
I was told X-mem is an acceptable alternative too but I have no idea where to order one :-)
Any help appreciated !

Thank you, greetz from Belgium

Welcome to cpcwiki! I think the X-MEM is a better choice, because with a same board you have extra ROM and RAM. The Z-MEM was more for users wanting to increase the SymbOS memory and already own a ROM Board.

There is also a 4 MB RAM expansion from Zaxxon, which is supported in full by FutureOS. Then you can add a FlashGordon or MegaFlash to have 512 KB of Flash-ROM in addition.

Take a look around to see what fits your needs the best.  :) :) :)
