Title: 1990 - Maxidos 1.1 - Nemesis Software (written by Kevin McCaughey)
Post by: ComSoft6128 on 14:14, 02 December 19
If you had a 3.5" B drive attached to your 6128/6128 Plus in the the late eighties/early nineties you really needed this disc/file program.
Shamefully it looks like it was never reviewed in either Amstrad Computer User or Amstrad Action.

In the Links there is an excellent if too short, interview from emuunlim.com, with Kevin McCaughey.
Lothlorien - "I went over to work for them for the following summer and found out how unglamorous programming really was. I expected people with sunglasses driving BM's listening to pumping music. Turned out to be beards, Lada's and an introduction to Hawkwind instead."

Hi @Ast (http://www.cpcwiki.eu/forum/index.php?action=profile;u=573)

I think you are referring to DES - https://www.cpcwiki.eu/index.php/Desktop_Environment_System (https://www.cpcwiki.eu/index.php/Desktop_Environment_System)
Not an operating system, a ROM based GUI.

Cheers,

Peter

It was developed/coded by Irish programmer Michael Beckett. My company released it in 1994.

it seems to be great. Do you still have the original code source ? I 'd want to add iMPdos format, if possible.

Thanks.

No source code I'm afraid. Much of the CPC/PCW programming material I stored here was lost in 2002 when the WIN95 machine I was using for "long term" storage died. Interesting idea though.
