Is this for real?
Also: for some weird nostalgic reason, I love the CPC CP/M boot screen...
Real.
I found the files on a 3.5 inch disk this morning and wasn't really interested - I had other videos to make. On the off chance I could get it to work I had a quick look - had it not worked (pretty much) 1st time it would have disappeared into digital oblivion - probably never to be seen again.
If anyone wants copies of these files I can send them on 3" or 3.5 disk anywhere.
Cheers,
Peter
I was playing around with BBC BASIC last year and made a thread about it (http://www.cpcwiki.eu/forum/programming/bbc-basic-for-cpc/).
I was trying to understand the language, by grabbing BBC BASIC code from BBC magazines as well as Books and found I needed to make adjustments, some adjustments were Hardware Based ones (Screen Resolution for example), but I never got to grips with their Key Input system, so the Bouncing Bug did some funny things.
I would be interested in example code, perhaps run the BBC BASIC again and LIST the Cube without Running it. Apart from ANIMAL, the other BBC files don't look familiar either, so Videos LISTing them would be great, think that's the best approach as I can type them out from the Video and Paste, if there's something in all that that uses INKEY, quite well then that would be great.
OK AMSDOS,
I will have a look at them next weekend.
Cheers,
Peter
Video 2.
A more detailed look at the BBC BASIC programs I found on a disk recently. A LISTing for a BBC text adventure is also shown.
Not emulated - original hardware and software.
