Title: C64 to CPC screen conversion tool
Post by: Devilmarkus on 14:35, 15 January 12
tastefulmrship inspired me to code a tool which should be able to convert C64 screenshots into a suitable CPC palette.
So I begun to code this application and the result can already be cool.

Worsest thing is that you can choose between 6!!! different C64 palettes, because there's no defined emulator standard yet.
You can also precalculate the imported C64 screenshot which rounds a bit the RGB values for each pixels.

Here is a test result:

Original C64 screenshot (as found in WWW but already pre-calculated)

CPC conversion (After manually changing a few PENs but conversion is done automatically)

Will add drag&drop support to import images, and perhaps I release this little piece of crap!

If they're not happy, they can just convert it back to C64 using this handy little formula....

If pixelcolour=red then pixelcolour=red-ish-brown
If pixelcolour=green then pixelcolour=green-ish-brown
If pixelcolour=blue then pixelcolour=blue-ish-brown
If pixelcolour=white then pixelcolour=light brown
If pixelcolour=black then pixelcolour=dark brown

Bryce.

C64 has a different Colour management!
It's called RGB (Really Groovy Brown)
