Title: PowerPage 64
Post by: geebus on 13:30, 04 May 19
Hi all, I've been playing about with some cassettes and disc's that I have. One of which (Amstrad Action 82) has powerpage on it that extracts itself to disc. So I done that on my actual cpc6128 and had a play about.I then had a look on the wiki and seen that there were no downloads for it on the Wiki page.I've run the extraction on an emulator and saved a .dsk file, and now i'm wondering if i'm ok to upload it to the wiki page? If so, how do I go about it?

Powerpage 64 is available for download from CPC-Power (under Powerpage v1.32 (http://www.cpc-power.com/index.php?page=detail&num=5203)), or you could attach the DSK file in your leading message (here) and then run a Link of it to the Powerpage page under some Downloads Category if you prefer.
Personally for me, I had Powerpage 64 from the same AA Covertape which was doing nothing until I got around to purchasing a 6128. I transferred it to Disk and when I started using Emulators I transferred my Disk to DSK image and had a little play around with it. I haven't used it in years though and never got around to using Powerpage 128, but it just seems to make more sense to use that if you have a 6128 or most people here would have at least 128k to run that which is supposed to be an big improvement of Powerpage 64.

Yeah I spoke with the creator on Twitter and he said the 128k version is much better.
I have a 6128 and two 464's. I don't have a disk drive for the 464's though. So I'm going to give it a shot on the 6128.
Like you said though, I am gonna use it on an emulator (so I can use screen capture etc) as I want to make some random video's of me learning how to use it.
Boring I know, but I find making these things fun  :)
Edit: Uploaded a zip file containing the disc file of PowerPage64 and the text from the instruction print outs etc.

Thanks for that! You can just as easily upload it to the wiki itself, but do let me know if you need any help!

Hi @Gryzor (http://www.cpcwiki.eu/forum/index.php?action=profile;u=1), I tried uploading it to the wiki page itself and the upload never finished.I'll try again with the Zip file. Might have been because I was trying to upload the .dsk file itself.

Did you manage it? I do believe the wiki does allow dsk files (because I remember adding it to the config :D ) but maybe something went wrong indeed...

Hi @Gryzor (http://www.cpcwiki.eu/forum/index.php?action=profile;u=1) , I never managed to get it uploaded. I just see an uploading gif going on forever.

Oops somehow I had missed that (perhaps because it was one open tab between dozens? Who knows :D ). Anyhow, I just uploaded without a hitch: http://www.cpcwiki.eu/index.php/File:PowerPage64.zip . Updated the PowerPage too, with credit.
