Title: Attachment issues?
Post by: Gryzor on 08:14, 30 November 11
Hello guys,
Can you please post here if you got any problems with attachment downloading?
I have now tested it on three four systems in two different networks, different ISPs, with 10 browsers and haven't encountered a single problem...
Only wget and Jdownloader don't work (wget just finds index.php\?action\=dlattach, 9.9KB long, JDownloader doesn't start downloading) but this is to be expected from such programs...
So please do let me know if you encounter any problems after clearing your cache, trying different browsers, rebooting the universe etc.

Ok.

EDIT: Well that seem to work!  :)  Usually I don't have any issues attaching files and stuff, it was just this one which was giving me the Timeout or File is too big rubbish.

No, I'm not talking about uploads (think I've fixed this?), but downloads :)

Ooops!  :D  Oh well I tried Downloading the Upload I Uploaded and it came to a grinding hault after I downloaded just over a Megabyte of it, appears to be ISP stuffing me up and slowing down.  :o

I'm always getting a file named "index.php" when I try to download an attachment.
Using Firefox 8.0.1

Wh Chrome and IE it works correct.

Ah yeah, FF8 seems to present a problem.

Someone suggested that right-clicking and "saving link as" works, though...

Stopped using FF around v4, I think. Too many "major" releases and too many problems added with no clear benefit...
