Hi Gryzor or any admin.
when I try to put some characters such as.... erk it does it again...
I get some thing that opens and asks me for some user's name to select...
the main issue is that i can't get rid of the thing and it covers the "post" options... What's the heck ?
see attached screenshots.
any characters with an "accent" would open this f*****ing s****t...
Sounds like a bug with the tagging plugin @Gryzor (http://www.cpcwiki.eu/forum/index.php?action=profile;u=1) added to the forum. It's supposed to only trigger with the '@' character...
Well, you could maybe calm down first, and then tell me how this drop-down list prohibits you from doing anything. I mean, the list is there, so what? You proceed to write whatever you want. Just ignore the list, unless you want to tag someone.
QuoteWell, you could maybe calm down first
I was... ;D
the main issue is that if I happen to use some of those characters, this scroll list would cover the attachments and other options, post/preview/saveas draft... and there is no other way than to select on of the names inside, which would then delete all I would write after/with the said accentuated letter...
How can we simply disable this in edition mode ? or just it should be elsewhere on the screen so it doesn't cover stuffs/buttons/options/menus, or it could have a button to close it...
But if the aim it to disable the possibility to use those acdent-characters, then no problem, I could deal with it perhaps, one day.
:'(
i also often covers previous posts so I can't re-read what other said before me...
Do spanish have the same issue with Ñ ??? oh yep
I know I can simply use alt+s to submit/post, but really this is annoying and I don't even think that usefull...
If we want to go to profile infos for users, we can simply clic on the Avatar/name part or any of said user's post post.
But... the list only appears so long as there's a user name matching what you type after @. So, for instance, if you want to type @abcdefg and there's a user named @abc the list will disappear after typing 'd'. It doesn't just stay there!
hence I name it a bug... each time some "accented" character is done with my azerty this opens and sticks unless I choose one of the entries... only way to close it and it would erase/replace all written after the accented char...
funnily : "@gr" would close the "gr" list as short as I add a space or anything... the french accented letters never get this.
@gr ùé è à ç
strangely it seems to stop appearing sometimes, not always... here I managed to write those...
perhaps to use the @somethong but get it to close (adding space bar) perhaps fixed the issue... ok if I can trick it this way, I think I could handle this after all...
post edit : testing :
if I enter such thing as "à" when i start to edit/post it appears.
@gr à
I entered an @ + letters, pressed space, it disapeared, and now I can use those letters such as çéèàù... ok found a solution, sorry for the mess my friends.
This constitute a Mac-Hack... (macaque, in french... google this word...)
anyway thx @Gryzor (http://www.cpcwiki.eu/forum/index.php?action=profile;u=1)... you finally gave some sort of solution... how good you are. :)
äÄöÖüÜß - fine in German at least...
To tell you the truth, I have not quite understood if there's a problem or not... Thanks for the feedback though!
no more issue, I found an easy way to bypass the issue thx to you...

Thanks, that's good :)
