Hi!
The mainpage has that nice pictures of games, that's a good idea :)
Maybe we should add screenshots of Orion Prime, Subunter and Blue Angel and other games released during the last couple of years ??
Or is it too 'full' then? What's your opinion.
(I don't want to touch the mainpage, my browser screws up formatting at the moment).
The mainpage pictures are kind of a "rolling news", so newer releases (software and hardware) are shown and older one's then get dropped. I think it should be limited to a certain picture count, rather than time, otherwise it could be argued, where exactly it should stop. Orion prime, Subhunter, my MegaFlash were all there, but time moves on, as do the pictures.
Bryce.
The mainpage is "wiki too". So, as I get that answer in the past: DIY
It's why I have said that it will be better to get RSS feeds from others sites that follow the actuality, as Octoate and Genesis8.
We get that during 2 months and then that have been removed...
The actual page format is more readable by keeping:
- 10 news + a picture from the last one.
- 5 pictures tumbs of the previous news.
Be free to update them and push olders out (copy them to OldNews) to leave the place for fresh news. :)
(just updated)
Hey TotO, saw your edits earlier today, now I see why :)
Yes, the main page is a kind of 'rolling news (hence the reason I asked for everyone's help a while ago to maintain it, though only a precious few stepped up); so only a set amount of news pieces/screens should appear.
That said, though, we had such a nice collection of releases/news lately that I find it hard to push something (like, say, a release of HQIII+!) off the main page just to make room for a new release ("new 10b dentro by me!"). So it's a struggle for balance...
Love this one, but what's the reference here? :)
Wrong thread ;D
Thought so, had just replied to that 'other' one :D
