Hello guys!
Today I took the plunge and did a major upgrade to the wiki's software. The changelog is huge so no need to list it here - many things are behind the scenes, some things are streamlined and steadier. The editor is now bug-free and fully functional, and since I was working at it we now have -guess what? Multiple uploads working once more! Check out the "Upload Multi Files" at the sidebar. You can also go directly to the wizard by clicking here: Not logged in - CPCWiki (http://cpcwiki.eu/index.php/Special:UploadWizard) . It works just fine from what I've seen testing it - though please disregard the tutorial page (just check "ignore next time" or whatever it's called, it didn't apply to us).
Of course, as with each update, small or big, some stuff may get broken, especially when it comes to skins and extensions. I already did quite a few corrections and edits to get obvious errors go away, but naturally I can't test everything - so if you find anything that's amiss, let me know!
whot, this ? (see end of current post)
If I could get a hold and grab on this pesky useless "system administrator", I can guarrantee you he will get a bad hour... how can I edit and post now ?
;D

If I go to http://www.cpcwiki.eu/index.php/Plus (http://www.cpcwiki.eu/index.php/Plus) I get an fatal error:
Fatal error: Call to undefined function wfLoadExtensionMessages() in /home/gryzor/cpcwiki_backup/httpdocs/extensions/EmbedVideo/EmbedVideo.hooks.php on line 70
@MacDeath (http://www.cpcwiki.eu/forum/index.php?action=profile;u=221) : I guess you have figured "next" by now? :D
@Apollo (http://www.cpcwiki.eu/forum/index.php?action=profile;u=267) : Thanks man, that's precisely what I'm talking about... I'll try and fix it!
...aaaaand this has to have been the quickest fix I've ever done, and all before I've even started my daily caffeine intake :D (which means that the wiki could blow up any minute now, of course).
...aaaand just for @MacDeath (http://www.cpcwiki.eu/forum/index.php?action=profile;u=221) [nb]not really, it was annoying me as well[/nb], I found a way to disable the first step altogether :)
Seems to be functioning the same for me.
I don't ask for much though, just a forum that I can do the bare necessities on. :)
As I said, most of the changes were behind the scenes, though little front-end touches are evident here and there...
Uploaded and linked files are not accessible until the next edit on the database... (they stay in red whereas they are already on the server and become blue as soon as you save a new version of the page).
Hmmm not sure what you mean by "next edit on the database"?
Can't really check as my landline is down and I'm on 3G, but from what I understand:
-you create a page with links to files
-you create/upload the files
-links in the article you created/edited *before* the file upload are still dead?
Maybe a caching issue?

Yeah you got it...
As a test, yesterday i did what you described for uploading the last Dizzy carts and waited all the evening.
The links stayed dead all the long.
Then i edited the page (added a letter, saving, removing the letter) and as soon as i did that, the links became valid.
It's like mediawiki wait the next update on the page to aknowledge the uploading of the file (whereas it was live before).
Thanks... Sounds really strange, I'll take a close look when my land line is working ok (right now the damn router loses sync whenever I try to download something, and my mobile is capped at 2GB so I try to do as minimal browsing as possible)

Well Behind the Scenes I was checking this site out on a iPhone 4 or 5, which wanted to download something which I tried to do, but because the phone has a mind of it's own and wanted to stuff around, reverted back to Safari on it.
[ot]I'm hardly impressed with the phone - even with the Keypad locked if you flick the screen you get the financial report, some dodgy calendar or the unusable camera. The iphone 3 I had earlier was heaps better, shame it fell into the drink. :'(
