I have been ignoring a few people on here for a while now, but I have noticed that I can now read their posts.
Has the ignore function been changed? It still says "you are ignoring this person", but the post is readable! What gives?

Was it something I said
Well fine, screw you :P :laugh:

This isn't new because I brought it up with @Gryzor (http://www.cpcwiki.eu/forum/index.php?action=profile;u=1) weeks ago, the same thing is going on with the Language censurer, and no @Gryzor (http://www.cpcwiki.eu/forum/index.php?action=profile;u=1) your "F" bomb wasn't even censored. :(

Was this before or after the "unscheduled downtime" a few weeks ago? According to Gryzor's twitter, the database was rebuilt... maybe some add-ons were removed or not updated fully.

The chat I had with Gryzor about the Ignore was back on the 4th of June, amazing how time has flown. :D
5 days later, we were talking about the Swear Jar.
I just want to be clear that I'm not Criticising @Gryzor (http://www.cpcwiki.eu/forum/index.php?action=profile;u=1) and it was discussed that they weren't urgent list. Are you suggesting that back in June the ignore option was working for you, or has it only been this way since the site went down?

To be honest, I only noticed it a few days ago. I've been keeping myself to select threads on here, recently, and it was only because someone on my Buddy list was talking to someone on my Ignore list (and they pointed me to that thread) that I noticed it at all.
Hey guys, I thought this had been discussed before but obviously it was in a private conversation.
Yes, the ignore function has stopped working and I couldn't find out why- the code was in place and correct, so something else has been interfering with it.
Anyhow, as (definitely publicly) discussed before, we've been carrying the old codebase for too long, with modifications and hacks - and a few bugs for good measure. I'm waiting for the migration to the SMF 2.1 version (shouldn't be too long now) before I clean the code and do the necessary modifications, and hopefully everything will be working again then. Doing the upgrade will have headaches of its own, so I don't think it's worth it cleaning things now since there's no critical problems around.

It doesn't appear to be a Web Browser issue and I don't think it has anything to do with me using a MacOS instead of Windows, I don't know if Security Settings would be interfering with it, is that possible?

I was chatting with you in PM about this a while ago, but it's never been mentioned on the forums before as far as I know.
@Amsdos : I didn't say it's something external like browser or OS...
@Ralferoo : ah yes indeed :)
Any news on this since the last forum update?
I feel the recent "trivialities" might have been avoided if this function was working again.
Just ignore them... ;D
