Hello guys,
Some of you visit the forum from your phones or tablets. Some of you use Tapatalk. Some of you use *gasp* WAP.
Lately a problem arose where WAP pages are not populated correctly. While looking into this, I thought "my, this WAP thingie looks like utter shite!". So I tried to find an alternative, namely a mobile skin.
Unfortunately, there are no free mobile skins. And about the only choice worth mentioning is this (http://smf-media.com). However, that's $20 (€15, £12).
So the question is, do you think it's worth buying?
I liked the WAP version of the forum - it was quick (even over 3G and lower) and easy to navigate.
However, I don't think a skin is worth 15 EUR of anyone's money!
Maybe you could change it so if you're on a mobile browser it just sends you to the full site rather than the WAP one which doesn't work?
Yeah, it's steep, that's why I thought I'd throw it out in here.
As to your second point, I think there's a link to the full version already at the footer?

There is, but if the WAP version is unrepairable wouldn't it just be easier to remove it all together?

I'd prefer the full version over the mobile version on my phone too. The mobile version is quite primitive and technology has moved on in the past few years.
Well yes, but the problem is not the rendering, for which modern mobile platforms are more than capable, but size. It's hard to navigate the forum with the default width and font size... I can pull the stats about people's resolutions and sizes, if you want.
